I just came back from Rock Rock 2009. I had an absolutely wonderful time there, although I did draw two primary lessons:
1. 1 day was too short
2. I should really get a good airbed.
However, I had a great time chilling out and performed with our band for the very first time in the garage of my parents-in-law. I guess it’s quite unusual to have a heap of friends spend a day and night at the place of the in-laws, but it worked far better than I could have imagined
. Pictures and the like will certainly follow but I am now sure yet where and when. What I do know, however, is that the very first bootleg has been recorded
.
On a different note, this site may get some updates in the near future. I’m considering to add a D&D wiki and possibly a temporary band page. But more on that later (if I am still considering these things by then
).
This week I moved from Amsterdam to Leiden, as a working place that is. I also finalized the fact that I will play football in Hoofddorp next year. These things may sound as small, but for my life they have significant implications. I look forward to what the upcoming time will bring
.
I also look forward to the fest thing this weekend, and hope very much that all the people who feel like crap will feel better by then. I’m sure there’s more goodness around this week than “just” an awesome Queen’s day

I just started a motherfucking huge ass simulation. I tested, tested, tested and checked, checked, checked, and I think it will run smoothly now. But whether it truly will, only time can tell…
..I started a huge-ass simulation and wrote the first chapter of a new article. Relaxing is so much more fun after hard work
…finding that ancient Greek guy called Articles in any document on the internet. I’m sure he is around somewhere, and whoever finds him will get the notaboutme Google Hacker of the Year award!
One of these days all of the households in the Netherlands will receive a brochure that is supposed to convince us that the world has been created in 6 days, and that apparently was so tiresome that an additional day of rest was required.
Now I don’t mind that people have some delusions, given that they are neither hazardous to their health nor trying to pass across my doorstep. As the second will occur in this case, I will return this brochure to sender as soon as I get it, possibly accompanied with a nice letter.
And apparently I am not the only one. See the link thingy below
.

..that I am a nerd. At least according to some people at some company I fit the prototype very well, and have been invited for a pretty well-paid photo-shoot on Monday
.Now I have no clue what’s coming up, but we’ll see.
Oh, and All That Remains (not Still Remains
) rocked my socks off last Friday!!!
Well, yesterday Tijs and I celebrated our birthday party here at home, and the evening went a bit different than usual. What completely surprised me were the presents, which were absolutely awesome! Ranging from a Mega Drive to concert tickets, the King’s Bounty remake (which kicks ass and runs seamlessly on my laptop btw) to several very interesting books and games, I was caught completely by surprise. There was no person who gave money or DVDs, which I usually see as the relatively easy cop-out options (I plead guilty at numerous occasions
. So hereby… thanks everyone! Also, thanks to Olli for coming early to help out with the groceries while I’m at it
.
What also went quite nice was the song that Tijs and I practised. Originally Tijs came up with the idea, and I had mostly a feeling of ‘what the hell, why not?’. But truth be told, it was a hell of a lot more fun than I had expected! I also had a couple of nice talks here and there, although I had trouble keeping focused on anything for longer than two minutes because I drank way too fucking many Bullits in too short a time. O_O
At 2 am, everyone had left (I guess that the last few weekends were quite intensive for most, so many peeps took it easy this time) yet I was still bouncing all over the place by myself in a room full of mess. I decided to clean it up right away, due to my caffeine/sugar/whatever-is-in-that-drink rush. After that, it was 4 am (I guess I was not so efficient) and I went to bed.
At 5:30 I woke up, at 7:30 I fell asleep again, at 8 I woke up, at 8:15 I fell asleep again and at 9:45 I woke up, not being able to fall asleep anymore. I’m really glad that I cleaned up last night already…
